Abstract: The Gulf
Coast Consortia (GCC) is one of the largest inter-institutional
cooperatives in the world, with a focus on building strong
collaborative research groups and interdisciplinary training
opportunities for students. At the heart of the GCC is its
training program: the Keck Center for Interdisciplinary
Bioscience Training. Founded in 1990, the Keck Center provides
support for undergraduate, predoctoral and postdoctoral trainees
as they pursue research and training in bioscience. Dr. Pettitt
will give an update on the research consortia and training
programs comprising the GCC / Keck Center.
