Abstract: The development and translation of near-infrared diagnostic imaging and tomography requires the intersection of a number of basic and clinical science disciplines. In this seminar, we provide two examples of translational diagnostic imaging in Phase I trials currently underway on the Texas Medical Campus: (i) the assessment of lymphatic function in health and disease in human subjects and (ii) the evaluation of lymph node status in cancer patients.
